Life of a child in an informal settlement

When I woke up the roof was leaking from the rain last night.when I got dressed for school I went to go to the bathroom outside.I hated the fact that I had to go to the bathroom outside,it had a horrible smell and there was no door and there was no privacy.I heard rumours that a kid about 5 years old fell into the toilet because he was too small,and another kid died from a disease when he went to the bathroom.When I was about to leave my house.my dad shouted at me to get ready for school even though I had already got dressed then he shouted at me to get out of the house.My dad is an alcoholic from when my mom left him,he’s always drunk and my stepmom makes all our money.Once I was finished going to the bathroom I forgot my breakfast,but we didn’t have food,so I had to go to school on a empty stomach. The Singing inspector

A few weeks ago on a cloudy day a singing inspector came.He had quite a odd name,Raymond.He wore gigantic knickerbockers and thick stockings like a hunter.His head was round and red,and his eyes were an odd blue. He called everyone to come in the big room.And I was jealous because the little ones and the big boys did not have not come because they don’t do singing.We had to do the doh ray me fah and tata tete. Then he called me and Benny to sing.Honestly when he called us up I realized that my life was horrible .Everyone was looking at me and Benny expecting us to sing,but we didn’t even know a single song except pretty Polly.He got angry at us. and he shouted at us and said if we can sing.I said that we can sing pretty Polly.I tried to sound brave but it came out in a weak kind of voice.                                                      THE GRADE FOUR CAMP 2 Weeks ago we had camp that I'm going to tell you about...right now!!! We went to Simonsberg for 3 days and 2 nights and It rocked. I had most of my friends in my dorm...Joshua,Mpho,peter and Seth. The food there was delicious one night for dessert we had custard and jelly! We had like a compation where we made a group and made a fort in the forest...I can't tell you everone in my group because there was something like 11 people in it. We had free time now and then so my group went in the forest to carry on with our fort. We played fun games with the staff and had fun with the staff. people like Liam,Luke,kayden and Linc were doing pranks...I was in one of the pranks but I ditched them to avoid trouble...great times...great times. anyway we played fun games like S T O P...
